ABOUT

  • FOUNDER / COPY

Karen McKinley is an award-winning creative who spent decades at some of the most creative advertising agencies in the world. While at Carmichael Lynch in Minneapolis, she was one of the first writers on the Subaru “Love” rebranding work that’s become one of the most successful car campaigns in history. She joined John at Made in 2013 and led the agency's largest accounts like Church’s Chicken, TGI Fridays, and Clayton Homes. After Made, she moved to Chicago as Chief Creative Officer of a regional agency and led creative across three offices. Karen has created work for brands like Porsche, General Motors, Target, Walmart, and many more. Like John, she thinks like a strategist, has led rebranding for many clients, and respects a good bowl of soup.

  • FOUNDER / ART + DESIGN

John Kieselhorst approaches every project with the same determined passion for creativity. He spent decades winning just about every industry award for brands like Nike, Kia Motors, Lyft, Starbucks, Timberland, Volvo, and many more. At Crispin, he transformed the Domino’s Pizza brand creating everything from eye-popping pizza boxes to an entirely reimagined in-store experience. In 2012, John co-founded the agency Made with ad legends Dave Schiff, Alex Bogusky, and creative technology wizard Scott Prindle. He went on to become Chief Creative Officer at viral tech accessory startup Popsockets. He built the Popsockets brand from scratch, designing their logo, brand book, IP matrix, packaging and retail system, wholesale catalog and sales booths, customization tools and global web experience, and built and ran its in-house creative and content agency. He officially became a Geezer this April.
